Friendship

At the beginning of June, Jon drove up to visit Tim in Kansas City. They ate junk food, went kayaking, and watched a ton of movies — male friendship at its finest. They also recorded a live podcast from Tim’s dining room table where they talked about a movie called… Friendship.

Friendship is a starring vehicle for Tim Robinson’s peculiar brand of comedy. Robinson thrives on the awkwardness of social interactions. Think The Office, but even more extreme. His Craig Waterman is a borderline sociopath, and yet somehow we relate to him. He’s all of our worst traits magnified before our eyes. We’re repulsed, but we can’t look away.

Join Jon and Tim as they discuss sharing a mic, everything wrong with Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, eating bad food, the Screenland Armour theater, choosing the right movie to watch on vacation, Jon’s obsession with Severance, Tim Robinson’s experimental comedy, relatable insecurities, Tim’s critique of Tom Cruise, and the importance of friendship.
